Some last-minute housekeeping items!

• The site has long prairie grass. There still might be some in your camp after mowing, so feel free to bring a rake and gloves to gather it to the side of the road for removal

• It’s windy! And no shade! Sort of like Burning Man. Make sure you bring shade and stake and secure your camp.

• This won’t be a very shoeless-friendly site, closed-toed shoes are encouraged. There are a few gopher holes; watch your step on the site. And bring a rug for your camp area if you’d like.

• We will do our best to restock the toilet paper, but make sure to bring some one-ply just in case. The dollar store will have it.

• The Drumheller Girl Scouts will be coming to pick up empties on Monday. There will be a place near the gate to do this. Please make sure there’s no trash, broken glass, or whipped cream canisters and that the donations are in the bags.

• It can get chilly at night, be prepared.

• If towing a trailer, or if preferred, instead of driving through Dalum, driving to Drumheller and then following the directions from Edmonton cuts the drive on gravel roads from 13.5km to 2.1km. Go slow off pavement, especially on the hill and use 4WD if you have it if the roads are at all wet.
