Fire Safety Reminder

:fire:

The FAST volunteers (aka Fire Safety Folks) have a little something they’d like you to read:

Dino Burn is almost here, and the DB-FAST crew can’t wait to share another incredible weekend of connection, creativity, and community with all of you! As we prepare for the event, please take a few minutes to review some important fire safety reminders. Fire safety is everyone’s responsibility, and a little preparation goes a long way in keeping our community safe.

:fire:

Fireworks and explosive devices are strictly prohibited.

:no_smoking:

Never smoke inside tents or enclosed structures.

:oil_drum:

Bringing propane?
If your camp has 3 or more 20lb propane tanks or any tanks larger than 30lb, please stop by the Oracle Tent after setup and mark your storage location on the DB-FAST map.

:fuelpump:

Fuel storage matters!
All liquid fuels must be stored in approved containers, kept in secondary containment (tote, kiddie pool, etc.), and protected from direct sunlight. Camps storing more than two 20L jerry cans should mark their storage location at Oracle.

:fire:

Propane fire pits, heaters, stoves, and BBQs must be operated according to manufacturer instructions, attended at all times, and set up to prevent tipping or accidental fire spread.

Any open flame requires:

:heavy_check_mark:

A responsible, unimpaired operator

:heavy_check_mark:

Constant supervision

:heavy_check_mark:

A fire extinguisher nearby

:no_entry_sign:

Wood campfires and burn barrels are not permitted in camps. A community fire will be available near First Aid when conditions and volunteer availability allow.

:rotating_light:

If an accidental fire occurs—no matter how small—report it immediately to Oracle or a Producer.

:fire:

Fire spinning and fire props are welcome, but absolutely NO fire spinning within camps or camping areas. Please visit Oracle for designated fire performance locations and guidelines.

:zap:

Generator camps, sound camps, and stages must have an ABC fire extinguisher certified within the last 12 months. Be mindful of exhaust direction and nearby sleeping areas—carbon monoxide can be deadly.

:yellow_heart:

Thank you for helping us create a safe, responsible, and amazing burn experience for everyone. If you have questions about any fire-related activity, please connect with a Producer or a member of DB-FAST.
Stay safe. Stay aware. Bring your Extinguisher.
